I actually think Wilson will stay with the Seahawks this coming season and then get traded. He would be too big of a cap hit for the Seahawks this year.

I do think you are undervaluing Smith and Johnson.

I think you are vastly, vastly overrating them, and underrating the trade value of QBs.

Maybe Pace better find a way to trade up in that first round.

This is the problem, not the package you listed, IMO. If the Bears coughed up three firsts, a second, and Smith and Johnson and there were no severe cap issues, Seattle would jump on it. Their drafting arrogance - much of it deserved - would have them believe between their picks and the Bears traded picks, they could find a franchise QB and more.

It's a smokescreen to drive down the price on Sam Darnold.

I was 100% convinced Darnold was going to be the next big thing. Semi-relatedly, turns out I'm not all that great at fantasy football sometimes.

Who ends up going to Seattle in a three team trade involving the Jets that ends up with Wilson in Chicago.

Ken's most excellent jab at me that my Historic Chicago Bears deserve a Super Bowl MVP (Nick Foles) going into this year.

The NFL Network’s Mike Garofolo says the Bears “are in” on Andy Dalton, but that the 49ers are also looking at him. The ‘Niners were one of the teams interested in Mitchell Trubisky, so if they add Dalton to back up Jimmy Garoppolo that would leave Mitch out.

This better be that Dalton will mentor the rookie stud that we trade up the draft board to get!

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the NFC North team made "a very aggressive pursuit" in trade talks with the Seattle Seahawks regarding Russell Wilson. However, Seattle made it clear that it was not trading Wilson.

I am glad the Bears were aggressive. Maybe they try again next year when the cap hit for trading Wilson is not 39 million dollars?
