Nevers also kicked 4 extra points to set the single game scoring record with 40 points.
BTW, Kamara could have easily had a 7th rushing TD. But, for some reason, while Kamara was sitting on 5 TDs with 4 minutes left in the game, Taysom Hill ran it in from the one yard line for the TD and what looked to be Kamara's last chance at the record.

more importantly, they are not traveling to New Jersey - which is where the game is being played

management decision. easier to negotiate a contract with a player that once might've scored 6 TD's in a game than 7 TD's. and it abides by tradition. you don't want to break a record too much.

Al Bundy once scored 4 TD in high school. as great as Alvin Kamara is, it would be like Al Bundy.

I am sure Sean Payton was thinking about Al Bundy's bragging record as scoring 6 or 7 TDs are better than 4.

..just remember, it's not as bad as Seattle losing to the Patriots in the superbowl on one of the final plays because Pete Carroll wanted Russell Wilson to be MVP.

what that means is Pete Carroll is a 'players' coach' while Sean Payton is a douchebag.

I am SO tired of the Chiefs winning every freaking week either by the other team collapsing (ATL dropped a game-winning INT in end zone, then missed a chip-shot FG that would have forced OT), they get bored and barely win, and they.get.every.single.call.and.non-call.

Mahomes is great and charismatic and yada yada Andy Reid yada yada.

and I can't see them bounced out of the playoffs soon enough.

also, bonus points for the stupid "Indian war chant" from the fans in the stands after their team did nothing but be spectators for someone else's dead shank.

                              * - tied not because they tied each other (head-to-head doesn't for draft), but because their projected opponents' final winning percentage is the same. so you want your team's opponents to lose in Week 17, because then your team's sucky record is suckier because you did it against weaker teams

the Bears really kicked JAX ass. heh. I have to give props to Gregg. i'd still say that would've been a risky bet. we would've had a lot of fun gambling together. that really is what gambling is. it's no fun doing it alone.

it's like the movie Let it Ride. you gotta have people doing it with you. for decorum.
