  • I just don't get MGM's prop lines. You can't really use them on an individual bet because they're so small, but tossing them into parlays seems to make sense.

For instance, they have Luis Torrens as +650/-1400 to hit/not hit a HR. By comparison, Anthony Rizzo is +725/-1600. So the MGM oddsmakers believe Torrens has a better chance of hitting a HR today than Anthony Rizzo does. Just FYI, Torrens has ONE career HR in 252 ABs. Bizarre.

    April 22 Wagers

    $10 Parlay - Widener u0.5H, DuFowler u0.5 HR, Odor u0.5 HR, Torrens u0.5 HR, Pujols u0.5 HR, Buehler u7.5 K
$3 Free Bet - same parlay

    Total Wagered: $10.00
    Total Won:
    Total +/-:

    Season Wagered: $989.92
    Season Won: $1,079.57
    Season +/-: $89.65

The problem is the funding source, because they can easily check that and then, like Michael Weston, you're burned.

I loved it also. Just rewatched a few episodes and they were still surprisingly good.

              • DK Hammer the Over total on the Clippers-Mavs game. Starts at 199, every 1500 bettors drops the line by a point, $25 max.

                Line is currently at 114.

                  • Interesting scenario playing out now on DK.

Yesterday, they ran a promo on Arenado hitting a HR during the DH, boosted to +200. Problem is, they left it up after the games had started, and even after Arenado did indeed hit a HR. Well, some enterprising individual noticed this and alerted the entire R/Sportsbook thread on Reddit, and everyone dropped what they were doing to lay down the max $83.38 wager. Then, when the 2nd game ended, DK actually paid out everybody who placed a bet, even late bets -- a nice $167 payday on your max $83 wager.

But hold the phone! They reversed this payout, and even placed phantom wagers in your account for the entire paid out amount, so now you were underwater as if the initial wager lost. Now how can that be? The Reddit group went bonkers and started blasting tweets, and supposedly DK started paying out the bets again. I have not gotten my payout back, as of now.

I took advantage of it, and I still feel dirty. Obviously someone is getting canned over this!

In a bizarre outcome, bettors in every state BESIDES PENNSYLVANIA were paid out. In Pennsylvania, it was voided.

PBS previously did a "Frontline" episode called "The Fantasy Sports Gamble". It's from 2016 and mostly about daily fantasy sports. It's worth a look if you missed it when it first came out.
