    How about some good news?!

    Alex Kirilloff RF | MIN
Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Heating up at Triple-A
(2 hrs ago) Kirilloff hit two home runs Saturday for Triple-A St. Paul and is hitting .379 with eight home runs and a 1.158 OPS in 24 games since being sent to the minors on May 15.
Kirilloff will likely be called up again soon, but the Twins wanted to see him thrive in the minors after missing several weeks after suffering inflammation in his surgically repaired right wrist in mid-April and early May. There was a fear that Kirilloff may have had his power sapped from a setback to his wrist that needed surgery to repair a ligament tear last summer. It looks like his wrist is fully healthy and he may be able to show the power in the majors again that he did at his peak last season.

He will be 25 this year, so the clock is ticking.

Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Possible waiver wire pickups
2H AGO • By Scott White
How hot does Alex Kirilloff have to get before the Twins call him back up? At the very least, he's hot enough for us to anticipate it and put in a claim before interest spikes. So how hot is he? He homered three times again over the weekend, twice on Saturday and once on Sunday, to give him seven in his past nine games and nine overall at Triple-A. He's batting .355 with a 1.083 OPS down there. We still haven't seen a fair representation of the 24-year-old's abilities at the major-league level seeing as his time last year and this year was marred by wrist pain, but he appears to be over it now.

It seems like the Twins could easily find AB for him.

So do you keep him for $2 in a 12 team only?

We had our first cut down to 19 last night. Doesn't look like a lot of OF will be in the auction (so far).

Boy, has this guy underwhelmed. He should still turn a decent profit at that price. The upside is still there, but I've definitely tempered my expectations after 3 failed attempts to catch lightning in a bottle.

This is where I am at as well. He has burnt so many, I like him as a sleeper, as the talent is still there, even if he has never really shown what he can do in the majors. He needs to be extended in my league, so I could not justify acquiring him, even on the cheap, as I have better options. But it you have him at $2 and you don't have to extend him this year, I like him much more as a speculative keeper. It could pay off into a good multi-year keeper if everything clicks. If not, it's $2, so no big loss, unless you are foregoing keeping a proven talent at a good price for him.

FWIW, reports came out today that his wrist seems fully healed heading into ST this year. A lot can still happen, of course, but I continue to be intrigued by the bat, if he can stay healthy.

I have to play him out or extend at $5 per season.

If he crushes it in Spring Training I might give a year to $7. Thought about throwing him back for the fresh new contract, but I think this league bids him past $7.

Yeah, it is a real gamble. The payoff could be much higher than $7, but the risk is real. I hope whatever contract you give him is one you end up feeling good about!
