  • Devers or Yordan Alvarez?

AL only 5x5 OBP instead of Ave. 12 team.

Devers is 41A and Alvarez is 38A. These are good for two more years or can give a raise at $5 per year after next year.

Who do you like better for the next two years?

    Devers
If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.

I'm leaning Alvarez. Devers is fantastic of course, but Alvarez has a monster season in him that Devers doesn't. And we may be seeing it right now.

Yordan can no doubt outperform Devers. He has it in him to outperform just about anyone, really. But it is hard to ignore his injury history. He is still young and maybe he ends up putting those behind him, but Devers seems a little safer on that front.

Seems like Devers is a lot older but they are less than a year apart.

Talent level is similar. Devers has more stable knees and plays 3B. Devers.

Both are very close but I go with Devers for now.

Really good article on Alvarez in the link below. I think Devers is a safer pick, but I also think Alvarez has a higher upside. So the recommendation would depend on how much risk a team wants to take on

Yordan Alvarez, almost quietly, is raking his way to the title of best hitter in the world. You tend to hear the names of other superstars -- and especially other young superstars -- more often: Juan Soto, Ronald Acuņa Jr., Fernando Tatis Jr., Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and so on. Well,

                Excerpt:
Statcast has three key expected stats based on a hitters' quality of contact -- how hard they're hitting the ball and how well they're driving it in the air. Every hitter has an expected batting average, expected slugging percentage and expected wOBA, the big Statcast stat for overall offensive performance.

Alvarez leads the Major Leagues in all three.
