What a rookie year this guy had. Struck out 157 batters in only 133 IP to go with a tasty 2.64 ERA. Looking a little deeper, a .301 BABIP against doesn't scream regression. His 0.41 HR/9 carried the day, to be sure. If he can continue to limit the long ball and maintain a K/BB upwards of 3, it's not hard to see this guy blazing right into the very elite.

He's got the 1st round pedigree, nice minor league resume, a fastball that's elite, a changeup that's also elite, and a passable slider. He's only 24, to boot. I'm thinking there's an awful lot to like here and if he can ramp up the IP, he'll be a top 10 guy. Put me down for 2.80 and 200 Ks over 175 IP.

    Love this guy!

I would very much like to roster Rogers in my 12 team only 5x5. Unfortunately he is on a roster for $9 going into his B contract. I am going to try hard to trade for him, but that will be a very long shot.

I think you might be a little heavy on the k's but not enough to quibble about.

Lots of pretty red ink on his StatCast profile , which is always nice to see.

3 pitches with a >25% whiff rate to them, uses all 3 to righties and lefties, and that changeup is really nice.

I lost out on him in 2 different NL leagues last year very late in auctions by people sneaking in a max bid on me just before "sold" and they were both gut punches as he was someone I targeted last season.
