not pro-choice, pro-abortion. I think that there is no more unalienable right than the right to control ones own reproductive process. I'd also be 100% fine with a date set in the 20-24 week range where abortion is only available to protect the health of the mother.

I think that more people should have abortions than they do now. I also think that if you go on welfare, you should have to get temporarily sterilized until you come off welfare.
"You know what's wrong with America? If I lovingly tongue a woman's nipple in a movie, it gets an "NC-17" rating, if I chop it off with a machete, it's an "R". That's what's wrong with America, man...."--Dennis Hopper

If no taxpayer money is used to fund abortions, then why do people care what others do with their bodies?

Its none of their business, so STFU.

    Thanks.

It is their business if they are saving a baby.

That is the question. Is it a baby or not? Until you answer that question, and defend your answer, you are being glib and superficial.

Its not their baby. Hence none of their business.

That's a great plan actually. Free murder for any family member. Genius.

If it was, say, a two-year-old child, they would have a moral obligation and a clearly defined legal right to intervene when the child's life was at stake. If it's a baby, then it is their business.

The fundamental problem with your position is that only in his feigned indifference is hyperbole.

The issue of murder is not hyperbole and never has been. Ritualized infanticide is older than recorded history. For example, it is a central part of the Rome's origin myth. Indeed, if you read lupa (she-wolf) as slang for prostitute, the story or Romulus and Remus can be taken literally. Modern science has made infanticide possible pre-birth but the tradition is ancient.

                    But it's not a baby, it's a fetus.
If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.

That is the critical decision. Be aware that it is a decision and that fair-minded people can decide the opposite.

Exactly. There is a reason that this topic is so hotly contested. It is not an easy choice, there is no black and white obvious answer. It takes quite a bit of naive thinking to suggest otherwise.

This is the one topic that has tended to be the differentiator between whether a person is a D or an R.

Personally, it seems that this topic has been decided by our Supreme Court. Our courts have said it is a legal medical procedure. As such it is up to the person carrying the unborn to make a decision she deems best for her.

It would seem in my mind that we should be spending more efforts on teaching people how to avoid being in the position of having to make this decision.
It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years and we must stop it.

Agreed, and the most obvious first step would be to eliminate funding for abstinence-only sex education, which has shown repeatedly to be totally ineffective.

I do understand. The problem is that most anti-abortion folks don't.
