Too clever by half. But, the style reminds me of the National Lampoon articles we used to chuckle to in the mid-70s.

This would have been a lot funnier if the characters had been a little more narrowly drawn. Just one example...you can say a lot about Carlos Santana and whether he has sold out, but to say that his playing when first came along was "cliched predictability" misses the mark by a mile.
