Started the year at 210. Went down as far as 201 right before my birthday, but back up to 203 this week . Sort of gave up on being hungry for the last few days. Ate crappy over the weekend. I am mad at myself for getting so close to getting under the mendoza line and not getting there. Will try to head back in that direction this week.

I am not sure why I took a step backwards this week? With all of the changes I have made since I started I hoped I would be down at least 7lbs.

Not giving up. under 220 next week.

Not bad coming off a birthday celebration as well as a 5 day weekend with buddies in Florida. Cracking the 220 mark has been slow in coming.

I wanted to see how everyone was doing two years on from this. I never got traction back then, but my wife went on a diet three months ago for the first time in years and my competitive spirit kicked in and I decided to do it too. This time, because of time issue and having colds most of the time, I haven't worked out much at all, but I'm down 13 lbs in 6 weeks, because I just decided to eat waaay less. It is amazing what the body can get used to after a week or two of hunger. Down to 190 now. Haven't been this low since before my kids were born. My goal is to lose about 15 more, but I'll probably settle for about 5 more. That will bring me down to a 38 inch waist, which was my initial goal. I started at over 41 inches.

How are the rest of you? More or less than when this thread started?

Haven't been eating too badly. Just need to get a little more active.

I'm going to Vancouver for 10 days, plan on walking a lot and going to a few energetic rock shows. Hopefully I shed a few pounds on vacation.
I'm at 175 lbs today. I attribute this gain to a few things, but I consider myself lucky for not gaining more.

My winter work is no longer physical. Used to shovel snow, but I found it didn't pay anything for all the physical exertion, so I work in a record store the last couple winters. It's been great.

Also, a 100% vegan grocery store opened in my city just under a year ago, and they have 8 million vegan treats. My wife and I eat way too much of this stuff. But overall, it's been great to have.

Finally, I just got back from a 18 day vacation in Vancouver, and I walked everywhere. 4 concerts, 4 comedy shows, 2 gamelan practices, and a whole lotta deep fried dinner items, about a dozen vegan doughnuts (the last thing I can't get in my home base), and many many slices of Indian Pizza Castle... they do vegan butter chicken with onion rings by the slice that's insane... can't pass it up walking by.

So I quite enjoyed putting the extra padding on. Probably unlikely to lose anything before the summer, but I'll have lots of lawns to cut and trees to cut down and such to sweat it off.
Larry David was once being heckled, long before any success. Heckler says "I'm taking my dog over to fuck your mother, weekly." Larry responds "I hate to tell you this, but your dog isn't liking it."

I decided to weigh myself before the start of The Eating Season. I am 207.8 Lowest I have been in over 30 years. Mostly a combination of not eating until full, smaller meals more often, and a change in meds (made about a 5 lb difference).

I decided to check in here to see what I was last time we reported. Pleased with the results.
