  • Legendary jazz saxophonist and composer, Wayne Shorter, died on 3/2/23 at age 89. To many, he was best known as a member of the jazz fusion group, Weather Report, but his career encompassed so much more before and after his WR tenure. He was part of Miles Davis' most famous group and also was a member of one of the more well-known Art Blakey ensembles. He won 12 Grammy awards as well as numerous other awards and honors. In addition to a lifetime of live performing and countless recordings, he was one of the most prolific and gifted composers I've ever heard of. I had the privilege of seeing him perform several times. He left a pair of mighty big shoes to fill. RIP.

Blake also, as a child actor, played Mickey in the the "Little Rascals" movie shorts filmed between 1939 and 1944. He went by his birth name of Mickey Gubitosi as a child actor.

He also had a small part in the great movie "Treasure of the Sierra Madre" as a child actor (kid selling raffle tickets). I also remember him from the movie "This Property is Condemned" w Natalie Wood and Robert Redford. RIP.

Was he the last surviving Little Rascal's actor?

I really appreciate the lack of "RIP" on this one.

Pretty impressive how long he lasted in prison.
Larry David was once being heckled, long before any success. Heckler says "I'm taking my dog over to fuck your mother, weekly." Larry responds "I hate to tell you this, but your dog isn't liking it."
