Good: He is a load, as expected. He has size, power, explosion and surprising endurance. His single gap technique is raw, but he has the basics. Lining up in the 1 technique (A gap) he can definitely push the pocket. With edge rushers like Hali and Houston, that is going to be a big factor, since QBs will not be able to step up as easily.
Other plusses: Hard worker. Believes he will be a top player in the league. Drinks up the instruction. Ideal attitude.
Bad: For 2 gap, he did not ahve the basics in any form. His understanding of leverage and anchor was almost nonexistant. Still very raw and hesitant. Do not expect to see him over C much at all during games. As a pass rusher has only one move at this point, though it is an outstanding one. Not good in draw recognition, though not easily sealed.
Summary: Very much what was expected. In college he was thrown in with no skills, and played every down. Never had any formal instruction in theory or technique. It shows. Those that question his college production are not looking closely enough. The physical tools are there, as is the desire.
