  • NFL Week 3 Thread

    - Austin Sefarian-Jenkins has a strained shoulder and will miss 4-to-6 weeks
    - Giants cut Preston Parker -- who somehow made the team over James Jones, who they released
    - Eric Decker has a PCL injury, unsure on the severity
    - Drew Brees has a shot to play this week

    - Kiko ALonso has a partially torn ACL and will likely need surgery and miss the season

James Jones is one of those guys who's great for one system (GB) and not worth much anywhere else. I doubt he would have done much better than Parker if he'd stayed with the Giants.

Getting a second opinion. 2-4 weeks if he doesn't have surgery, gone for the year if he does.

Other Eagles D injuries: DE Cedric Thornton out 2-4 weeks with broken bone in hand. LB Mychal Kendricks has hamstring injury and will try to play this week but probably won't be able to.

Politely disagree. Jones is limited in that he's not a speed guy who generates great separation downfield, but he runs great routes and has great hands in traffic. He does need a QB that can throw into a fairly small window to be successful, but there's more of those than just Aaron Rodgers.

He had almost 75 receptions with the Raiders last year.

Ooo! Ooo! Is the answer that your IQ is greater than the sum of Raider management IQ?

Given the state of passing in the NFL, most non-scrubs who stay healthy all year can catch 70 balls. That doesn't mean much.

What are the Browns doing? Johnny Manziel is coming off a solid game, and letting him build off that to perhaps see if there's really something here would have made sense. Plus, there seems to be something developing with Travis Benjamin. So why turn back to a 36-year old journeyman?

This is asked every year on a number of different topics. Why would this year be any different?

Lol. He may not even start for OSU, he's gonna start for Cleveland?

EDIT -- maybe you're onto something, lol....

Cam Chancellor is back. Unknown if he is playing this week.
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

I would guess not, in part because they can easily beat the Bears without him.

DeAngelo Hall looks like he has a major foot injury.
