Can probably be had for a buck or two in most NL leagues. I know it's a hunch, but curious what might lead you to believe this?

Sandberg values his defense and he will play when Rollins and Utley are rested, which will be more often under Sandberg than it was under Manuel, and also likely when the groundballer Burnett starts. Also, Utley is injury prone and Sandberg and Rollins don't get along. He could also see time at 3B if Asche is a bust and the team doesn't want to rush Franco. Mainly, I think this because his PT will be much more than what most are suggesting, not because he's anything special as a hitter. He should still be ignored in mixed leagues.

but the most important retirement is Vin Scully.

Scully's first year was the same as Connie Mack's last. Taken together, their careers span almost the entire history of professional baseball. That blows my mind.
