2014 Dynasty Keepers

I took over a team in a 14-team 5x5 H2H league. I have the following dynasty keepers (22 round draft):
Cobb (19th)
Strasburg (21st)

In addition, I can keep 4 of the following players:
C YMolina
C/1B CSantana
3B Beltre
OF ASoriano
OF Cruz
OF de Aza
SP Tillman
SP Colon
RP Nathan

I figure I need to keep 4 hitters with two good late round pitchers. Which 4?

Also, Gomez, Archer (19th), AGon are available from the team I ran this year. Are any of them upgrades?

I think you still have to keep Strasburg and hope. I would keep Beltre, Yadi, Strasburg and Cobb. But I think swapping Cobb for Gomez (if it's Carlos) or AGonz might be worth investigating depending on what the cost would be to keep them.

If it's 4 plus 2 instead of 4 total, my vote would probably be

Strasburg and Cobb are probably no-brainers that late in the draft (and as dynasty players), but I don't have to keep them.

If I traded Cobb for Gomez or AGon they would replace one of my other 4.

Bump. The owner of the team I ran in 2013 is asking about Strasburg from the team I took over for 2014. He offered:

give: Strasburg / my 19th round pick / ?
get: AGon / Archer (19th) / his 21st round pick

He also dangled Jed Lowrie (21st).

Is Strasburg still gold in a dynasty league?

Not solid gold but probably better than what you would get in that deal!

Honestly I think I'd do that deal. Gonzalez and Strasburg are fairly close in value (unless you believe Strasburg is going to be back to being a monster), and since you don't have a lot of other great keepers getting Archer in the 19th improves your list.

Agree. Get Gomez if at all possible. He's a guy who will (and should) go at least in the top 3 rounds of mixed leagues in 2014. As for the dynasty question, I don't play dynasty leagues, but have to believe hitters are a better choice than pitchers.

Yea, as long as the deals are reasonable, I'd make one of them, because Choo and Reyes are significant upgrades over your 4th best keeper.
