Rangers have not lost a road game all post-season. They now are 10-0. That sets the record for most consecutive post-season road victories. As far as I can tell, only 2 teams have gone undefeated on the road in the post-season in the wild-card era and those were the 2005 WhiteSox and the 1996 Yankees.

The ALCS was weird, no home team won a game. First time ever and it mirrors the 1991 Twins vs Braves World Series where no home team lost a game.

Bullpen games are always strange to me. I wonder how game 4 would have turned out if the DBacks started Ryne Nelson instead.

Congrats to the Rangers. They finish 11-0 on the road in the post-season, 3rd time in the wild card era for a perfect road record. Eovaldi becomes the 1st pitcher to get 5 wins in one post-season. Corey Seager becomes the 4th player to win WS MVP twice (Koufax, Bob Gibson and Reggie Jackson were the others).

Texas wins their first World Series with a three-pitcher shut-out. Josh Sborz goes 2+ innings for the save.

Somewhat lost in all this is Zac Gallens' no-hit innings to open the game.

Nat Eovaldi matched him with six scoreless innings. In the 7th the Rangers tagged Gallen with the only run they would need. Aroldis Chapman got a hold with two outs and Sborz to close it.

I will say that this is not what I expected from the Rangers back in March.

Wow, Rangers went 11-0 on the road. Hard to imagine that will ever be topped.

In addition to Will Smith getting his third ring, Aroldis Chapman, Nathan Eovaldi, and Max Scherzer each got their second ring. And Bruce Bochy got his fourth ring.

Scherzer would have had 3 rings with 3 different teams if his 2012 Tigers didn't lose to Bochy's Giants. I guess if you can't beat em...join em.
