Felix Bautista left Friday's game with arm discomfort and is going for tests. Yennier Cano is probably next in line.

This one stings. Bautista has been amazing. Imposable to replace him. I hope it isn't serious.

Seems done for this year. I hope, at least, he is okay for next year. Maybe just a small tear he can rest through. Rarely works, but once in awhile. He was a real contender for a Cy Young as a closer. Truly remarkable talent and season to date.

Cano gets the save on Saturday. Looks like he will be the guy.

Rangers' bullpen is a train wreck now. Noone can convert a save. Chapman was very good as a setup guy but he's blown 2 straight save opps. About the best guy lately has been Jose LeClerc, who has a line of . 7.0 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 2 BB, 7 K over the last 3 weeks coming into today. He had another scoreless appearance today and has very good numbers for the entire year. And he was the closer a couple years ago before getting hurt. I dont know if they'll turn to him but he's one to keep an eye on.

The concern they have with LeClerc is that he seems to wither in pressure situations. Not ideal for a closer.

speaking of which, David Robertson, who withered in almost every opportunity in Miami, is OUT as Marlins closer. Tanner Scott, well known for withering in pressure situations, is IN.

Well, that didnt take long. They do turn to LeClerc to close out tonite w a 1-run lead and he does the job!

Scott has been one of the most underrated RPs this year. He has the 2nd highest fWAR (2.1) among RPs behind only Felix Bautista. I saw him as an O's prospect and I thought he was one of the most exciting pitching prospects, w major heat from the lefty side. But he just couldnt ever throw strikes consistently. This year finally it's different. A 8.9% BB rate this year compared to 14.6% in 2021 and 15.9% in 2021. Why couldnt he do this when he pitched for us?

The Phillies seem to have reverted back to a closer committee with Alvarado and Kimbrel sharing the job as of late.
