So Revo invited me to join his Bottom of the 4th FBL, It's apparently crazy active and the owners seem pretty astute when it comes to player eval (that's what i got from the draft)
This is a 16 team total redraft 5x5 with OBP and Daily moves. I drafted 13th. 1 catcher, 1 UT, 4OF and 8 pitchers.
My thought going in (having been i a daily roto league for quite a long while) was that pitching, quality arms up and down are key. I didn't think getting 1 or 2 aces would be sufficient, I also avoid taking closers high preferring to grab speculative arms late late, also I waited on catching. Finally, because of daily streaming of arms i like to accumulate a handful of solid set up guys, not only for potential vulture wins and saves, but to keep the ratios tight. I went High OBP guys almost exclusively through the first part of the draft and at 13 hoped no one would take Tatis as I think he'll prove to be a top 10 player this year. So here's my squad and as always TIA for your input.
C Wilson Contreras
1B Christian Walker
3B Josh Jung
CI Josh Bell
2B Ozzie Albies
SS Fernando Tatis Jr
MI Ketel Marte
OF Bryan Reynolds
OF Kris Bryant
OF Oscar Colas
OF Trent Grisham (big believer in a career year here)
UT Franmil Reyes
Bench. Luis Campusano, Elehuris Montero, Isiah Kinser-Falefa, Kyle Lewis, Myles Straw.
Starters:
Corbin Burnes
Dylan Cease
Chris Sale
Pablo Lopez
Andrew Heaney
McKinzie Gore
Nick Martinez (another guy i see having a great year)
Shintaro Fujiami
Tarik Skubal
Late inning/potential for saves BP:
Scott McGough (thanks Junkies!)
AJ Puk
Hunter Harvey
Andrew Chafin
Luis Garcia (SD)
Collin McHugh
All in all, I'm really pleased with my draft and team--it should be competitive.
Let me know what y'all think.
Thanks again!
