    2K23: Alexis Diaz

    NL only 5x5 12 team. Alexis Diaz 6A or Vaughn Grissom 19A.

    All of the 2B ranked above Grissom will be kept. Does Diaz low salary and saves make him the better keep?

    I am the Grissom owner. I do have a cheap Morel I can use at 2b.

    OBP or Avg ? I'd be tempted to keep the mushroom at 2b and hope Diaz holds the closer position. Are you confidient diaz will close...and who is the keeper you would bump if you get Diaz and keep Morel?

      I would be trading Grissom for Diaz.

      OBP instead of ave.

        I think Grissom is going to disappoint a lot of fantasy owners this year.

          gotcha....so if you trade Grissom and then keep Diaz....is Morel a keeper or do you have other better options. You mentioned Morel, so I assume you would keep him, but who is the guy you are bumping ?

            I only mentioned Morel as one of my cheap keepers to take Grissom's place if I traded Grissom

            The trade is a one for one Grissom for Diaz so no player gets bumped.

                  Diaz and Grissom are both risky. Diaz is cheap, i suppose I'd go that route

                    Thank you all for responding. I pulled the trigger.

                    I did a deeper dive on some of the Reds baseball articles. It seems a pretty good bet that Diaz will open as closer. I like going into the auction with a cheap closer. Already feeling better about the trade.
