Viciedo worth a pick up?

I'm going to send an offer to an owner in our 12 team AL only keeper and he has Viciedo for $5 and if traded I could extend him a year to $10 if I want. I was going to offer Vargas because he needs help with e.r.a. and whip and Vargas is also a keeper in our league for $10 for next year and he had a good start last year and then faded. I am trying to get a bat with some pop and was wondering if you guys think he is finally breaking out or if you might think this is just a hot streak? According to what I read, he has the potential to be a decent power hitter.
