Veteran Cardinals reliever Andrew Miller on Sunday gave voice to those doubts. Per Anne Rogers of MLB.com, here's what Miller said:
"I think there's still some doubt that we're going to have a season now. By no means is this a slam dunk. We're trying, we're going to give it our best effort, but for me to sit here and say 100 percent would be a lie."

Just four months ago, sports as an entirety shut down pretty much because one player on one NBA team got it. Now, players are being diagnosed with it left and right, and there's not even a discussion of shutting down.
The only way any league is shutting down is if the players walk.

I kinda believe Trout is key here--If he opts out, we could see a string of other top players doing the same.If I whisper my wicked marching orders into the ether with no regard to where or how they may bear fruit, I am blameless should a broken spirit carry those orders out upon the innocent, for it was not my hand that took the action merely my lips which let slip their darkest wish. ~Daniel Devereaux 2011

2.5 weeks until Opening Day. Allegedly. It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.
