  • Who's making the 25?

Call this the Raul Mondesi thread. Mondesi was expected to start the year in AAA. Instead, he is the opening day 2B. Who else is unexpectedly coming north?

    Raul Mondesi - 2B
    Delino Deshields - OF
    Jacob May - OF
    Erick Aybar - SS
    Amir Garrett - P

      Erick Aybar. And he'll start.

Pads fans have to have an Eighth Amendment case here....

In the best of times, our days are numbered, anyway. And it would be a crime against Nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were presumably designed in the first place, and which the gravest statesmen and the hoarsest politicians hope to make available to all men in the end: I mean the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to sit under trees, to read, to hit a ball and bounce the baby.

Amir Garrett. Surprising that the Reds would burn a year on him.

Aybar has just jumped to $1 on my draft list.

Alen Hanson is out of options and with Kang in limbo/purgatory I think he comes north with the Bucs.

On a slightly different vein, the Angels opening day starter is...Ricky Nolasco. I suddenly feel even more pity for Angels fans than Padres fans.

What about Scott Feldman, your Cincinnati Reds opening day starter? Or Edinson Volquez for Miami?

Feldman and Nolasco should have a joust to the death.

Brock Stassi,27, of the Phillies and brother of Astros catcher Max Stassi made the Phillies roster as a bench player. His roster spot caused Rule 5 pick last year, Tyler Goeddel, to be DFA and taken off the 40 man roster. Brock has been a career minor leaguer and worked hard at re-working his swing.
Bob- I'm not exactly sure it would ROCK as you say it Byron.. it may be cool, by typical text book descriptions. Your opinion of this is shallow and poorly constructed, but allow me to re-craft your initial thought into something tangable.
