They are all pretty terrible, right? Ortiz's owner has sent me 4 or 5 offers already, centering around EE for Ortiz. He's won the past 5 years. He should know better.

yes-- they all suck. No need to rush anything, there's still the weekend to see if something floats to the FAAB surface and to vet your own deals with someone more reasonable and a possible better fit.

Nix is better than Ryan. Ryan is blech. Luke Hughes will fill in for Nishioka; get him if you still can.

OTOH, I'm not a Rodney believer, so if you can leverage a deal with him as the key piece to get a decent 2B/MI, that's worth doing.

I was offered Lind 1 for Abreu 19 but I don't have room for Lind (DH).

I countered with Miggy 38/Lind 1 for Konerko/Reynolds 17. I get a power and AVG boost and give up a few surplus SBs. He gets a fill in for Longoria and unclogs his DH spot. Thoughts?

I like the Lind deal- he'll be 1B eligible soon, won't he? I love the Miggy deal but I can't see him doing it.

Horrible deal for him...why would he give up a top 5 player for a short term fill-in for Longoria? He loses badly all around.

If you can get a 1 buck Lind for a 19 buck Abreu, do it...like JC said, Lind should be 1st base eligible soon.

I had forgotten about that but he rejected it because Lind is 1B eligible in a week. If I do Lind for Abreu I would have to bench EE for Lind until I can trade a 3B. Not the worst problem to have.

I'd give up Rodney for Drabek, yes. I'm very skeptical Rodney will get many saves going forward. I'd hate giving up either Bard or Rodney for the other two SPs strictly as a stopgap for Braden.
