IMPORTANT - Draft date and time scheduled for March 22nd at 6 PM EST. MUST make the draft.
I will include the constitution below to give you an overall view of the league, but we had a member leave our group for personal reasons leaving a spot available. My circle of people who are serious about fantasy baseball is very small now so i'm opening this up to anyone who would like to enter. Contracts are 3 years long max and this is starting the 4th year of the league so a lot of the top players from three years ago are still viable are available on the auction (Ill include the list of available players below). A team can easily be created by what will be available in my opinion. These are the quick things you need to know:
HTH Categories

Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested in learning more about the league. We will be setting a draft date and a keeper selection date in the winter.....
Here is the constitution:
AUCTION LEAGUE RULES
Draft Format/League Setup
• Auction Draft, Online
• 10 Teams
• HTH League, w/ 6 teams in playoffs, first round byes for top 2 teams; championship round will be two last weeks of the season
• CBS Website
• Dynasty Format
• Player Pool to include both NL & AL teams
• Daily Personnel Changes
• 3 year contracts
• $100 per team each year entrance fee
Positions
• C, 1b, 2b, 3b, SS, MI, CI, 4 OF, UTL, 8 P
• Use primary position & games played
• 20 games previous season, 5 games current season to become eligible at position
Roster Sizes & Rules
• 29 active players, 3 DL spots, 5 minor leaguers
• Both DL & Minor League must be activated once activated on baseball team’s roster. You will have 3 days to remove player from spot or removal from roster is performed unless special circumstances.
• Minor League Players do count against team budget, however DL players do not. You must make room on current roster for DL player’s contract once active.
• If a minor league player is on the DL, the allotted place is what cbs is showing on the site. For instance, if Jarrod Parker has Tommy John surgery while in AA, he will most likely show up as an “M” in CBS. This means his value still counts against the team budget.
Contracts/Waiver Wire Pickups
• Each player is given a 3 year contract once signed by a particular fantasy team. If a player is signed during the season from the waiver wire, this is considered year 1. For instance, free agent A signs for $3 in July of 2010, his contract will be up at the beginning of 2013 season.
• Once a player is dropped by a particular team, even if they decide to pick him back up, the player’s contract will restart at the new current claimed value.
• Waiver wire pickups will be daily and done in a silent auction form. At 9 PM (EST) each night, waiver pickup offers will be frozen until the end of the night and given to the highest bidder for next day’s games.
Budget
• $315 budget for 29 active, 3 minor league players – this gives the average player roughly an $8 contract.
• This budget will hold for the remainder of your existence in the league. This will never drop after a draft since all values are held as contracts.
• If you draft a player who will start the year on the DL, his value will COUNT towards your budget at the day of the draft. However, once you can make roster moves, the player moves to the DL and that value can now be used to spend on the new roster spot. For instance, Ryan Howard is drafted for $20 in the auction draft and he starts the year on the DL. That $20 is taken away from your $315 budget at the day of the draft. Once he is placed on the DL, that $20 become available to spend until Howard is reactivated.
• If a player spends an entire year on the DL, it still counts against his contract.
HTH Rules
• Stat Categories – 7x7 – r,hr,rbi,sb,ave,obp,slg,w,sv,hld,k,era,rd9,k/(bb+hb)
• The STREAM MACHINE Rule – there must be a minimum of 25 innings pitched each week with a maximum of 88 innings per week. This allows 9 starters to go 7 innings with 25 innings for relievers. Any violators of this rule will be forced to pay a $1 fine for every inning they go over. All fees at the end of the next year will go towards paying the CBS fee the following season.
Tiebreakers
• Regular Season (two way tie) – HTH regular season matchup – Category weighted victory
• Regular Season (three or more way tie) – Power Ranking
• Playoff Week – Breakdown against team over the entire season if they were to play each other every week for the entire season.
Draft/Keepers
• Year 1 – this draft will be held like any standard auction draft. All players drafted will be awarded contracts that last up to 3 years.
• Following Years – all players whose contracts have been expired OR have not been kept by any team will be auctioned off again before the start of the season.
• If you decide to keep your entire team, you do not have to be present at the draft. This is only for people who wish/made to change their roster.
• Keepers will be picked tentatively 14 days prior to the auction draft every year. No matter how many players are on your roster to finish the previous season/trades made in the offseason, you must be down to at most 29 active players, 5 minor leaguers before the draft. No minimum amount of players kept.
• A minor leaguer to start the season can be anyone who has a good chance of starting the year in the minor leagues. This is left up to the discretion of the committee if a player is in the “gray area”.
• A spreadsheet at the beginning/end of each season will be made/updated on years/dollar amounts left on a contract. Any moves done in the middle of the season are not accounted for until the end of the year. For instance, if team A decides to keep player B at $X amount of dollars, then decides he wants to drop player B during the season, then picks up player B at $X-3, the end result will be that team A will have 2 years left at $X-3 at the end of the season.
• Minor Leaguers clocks start once if they are brought up before August 31st of each season. September call-ups do not count against contract service time. Even if player X comes up for a week or so then sent back down, unfortunately this counts as year 1.
• After playoffs, all rosters are frozen for keeper selections. Playoff teams can continue to make moves but will be reversed once season is over before offseason begins.
Trades
• Trades will be disallowed after the trading deadline and not allowed to be reinstated until one month prior to when keepers are chosen.
• Any uneven numbered trades are allowed in the offseason as long as when keepers are chosen there are no more than 29 active and 5 minor leaguers chosen.
• Once a player is traded, his contract amount and years left on his contract is carried over to the new team. For instance, if team A trades team B player X, who has 2 years left on a $Y deal, then team B will only have 2 years to use $Y for player X. This will allowed players to have the notorious “expiring contracts” tag put on them at the end of their contract.
• You may only trade one “typically untradeable player” (left to discrepancy of committee) to a team once a year. For instance, if you want to dump talent, you have to disperse the talent amongst the league and not overload one team in any one season.
Finance Breakdown
• $100 a team/year means there is $1,000 of prize money; CBS charges $140 so prize money is down to $860.
• Winner of Regular Season Record: $75
Winner of Regular Season Breakdown: $50
Winner of Regular Season Power Ranking: $50
• Champion: $260
Second Place: $150
Third Place: $125
Fourth Place: $100
Fifth Place: $50
