    If this is true, they're not even being subtle about it anymore.

      Financial czars arbitrarily invalidating contracts? Sounds like it'll get crushed in the courts.

        Why is Snyder doing this? Let it all burn. This is what centralization and wealth redistribution brings. This entire experiment was doomed from it's inception. Eventually, the treasuries of both the states and the federal government will be raided by special interests, which the founding fathers prophesied. That's what is transpiring. We have the labor parasites. The defense contractors. The lawyers. The wall street cabal. It's an simply unsustainable system.

          Well, you do have to remember that these are the worst economic times since the great depression. Lots of crazy political stuff happened back in the 30's too. Of course back then all that stuff expanded the reach of government. I guess the rubberband is snapping back.

            but it was FDRs 'socialist' ideas that pulled the country out, not the conservative 'do less' mantra.

              It was the aftermath of the great war not FDR. In 1932, he inherited over 11 million citizens who were unemployed. 8 years later after an orgy of spending, that number remained relatively unchanged.

                  That's so wrong its funny. Both ends of the sentence. FDR did almost nothing to pull the economy out of the Depression. Time did that. FDR generated activity while normal forces did the work.

                  The Conservatives were proven right on this one. Only time will heal.
