LOL...I still like the kid, and I think that he could play in the NFL, but nobody's going to give him a chance at this point. Much better to rotate the Blaine Gabbert types around the league for 10 years and watch them fail time after time.

I watched him at A&M, every game (I'm an alum), and while he was a great college QB I never thought he'd stick in the NFL. His passes were rainbows, and not particularly accurate. He made time with his feet but he'd always "barely" escape, and with additional speed in the defenses at the NFL level I never thought he had a chance.

I don't think he can play in the NFL and I don't think that's just because of what has happened the last few years. I think he was an elite college QB, but his skills didn't translate to the NFL, in much the same way that Eric Crouch was never a real NFL QB prospect.

Fun to watch, but he was overmatched when he left college station.
