Great writeup, thatrogue! Really enjoyed reading it and comparing your experience to mine in our home league.

Next year, I am going to follow Joncarlos and James' lead, and reallocate some of the lower cost player's inflation dollars to the mid-tier and high-cost players. I already have the calculation set to value the top players more aggressively than the cheaper players...but I need to adjust that even further.

At the end of week two, my team is in 2nd place with 86 points, 6 points out of first. I spent $13 in FAAB (out of $103 budget) to acquire Ottavino (dropping A.Brown), but missed out on Rondon who also went for $13 (I bid $8). Parker went for $7, but I missed that he was called up yesterday afternoon and did not bid. I have significant room for improvement in SB (currently tied for 7th), ERA (6th), WHIP (9th) and Saves (three way tie for 5th). My trading goals are to acquire a basestealer and a closer, and I think I will move to a four SP (Bumgarner, Haren, Harang & Morton), six or seven RP rotation, as Edwin Jackson & Jenrry Mejia are too volatile to be trusted right now.

      On to week three...

Mejia might be OK in week 3; the D-Backs are extremely impatient. I'm rolling the dice.

Did anyone pick up Zach Walters? I totally missed his callup and didn't bid in my league.

Walters was selected in our reserve draft.

Perhaps I'll gamble with Mejia...but if he walks a lot of batters in Arizona, the D-backs, especially Goldschmidt and Trumbo, could make him pay.
