    • Marlins transferred SP Elieser Hernandez to the 60-day injured list with a right lat strain. See you in 2021.

      • The highest-paid player in MLB this season didn't even play this year. Marlins RP Wei-Yin Chen, who was released last November, will be paid nearly $22 million this season. If the Marlins had waited to release him after baseball was shut down this spring, they could have saved themselves $14 million.

Their pitching is legit. As crazy as it is, it could happen.

Are you saying they might be Bottom Feeders?

                    • A team that lost 105 games last year, most in the NL by far, played a good part of their season w half their team out, including many of their better players, 1) makes the playoffs and 2) sweeps the 1st round series from a division winner on their home field and 3) ???. Love it! Braves up next. Go Marlins!!

Bottom feeders often turn into the biggest fish.

                          • I have a nephew who was about 8 years old when he caught a pleco -like a catfish - in Michigan.

he asked to bring it home to New Jersey, and my sister and her husband said, um.. okay" - figuring he wouldn't even survive the drive back.

that sucker not only grew enormous, he lasted almost 10 years! he had a tank to himself, mostly.

                            • Francisco Cervelli announced his retirement from baseball at age 34. The former Pirates and Yankees catcher has suffered multiple concussions over the last few years. Wishing him good health in his retirement.

                              • welp...

Sometimes Mattingly's decisions are total head scratchers. You cant score, so play the defense first catcher? You play a rookie so you can put a guy with a noodle arm in RF that costs the team two runs? Then you bat the rookie 6th with a guy hitting around .350 at 7th? You quit running in the playoffs when that's what made you successful all season? ugh...
