            Mets right-hander Jenrry Mejia has been suspended for 162 games following a second positive test for performance enhancing drugs, tweets Jon Heyman of CBS Sports. Mejia tested positive for both stanozolol and boldenone, tweets Joel Sherman of the New York Post.

              Guess we know why Clippard was traded to the Mets then.
              Bob- I'm not exactly sure it would ROCK as you say it Byron.. it may be cool, by typical text book descriptions. Your opinion of this is shallow and poorly constructed, but allow me to re-craft your initial thought into something tangable.

                The Mets never had a player hit 3-HRs in a home game until Kirk Nieuwenhuis did it 2 weeks ago, and now Lucas Duda has matched it. So the first one took 54 years,the second just 17 days.

                      then single, single, Upton 3-run HR, then 3-hour rain delay before bottom 9
                      then 1-2-3 and they lose 8-7 in 6 1/2 hours

                        MIAMI - This could only happen to the Mets.

                        Lefty reliever Jerry Blevins, who was rehabbing from a fractured left forearm, slipped off a curb on Monday and refractured the bone, according to the Mets. He is unlikely to pitch again this season, the team announced.

                              nonetheless, that's a helluva way to end the season.
                              It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

                                Cespedes with 3 HR in tonight's game, and only thru 6 innings.
                                Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?
