When I didn't get Walsh or Keefe in RD 3 I knew I was in trouble in Pit Cat esp era and whip - it almost forced me to take Ryan which sealed the deal in those 2 cat. At the same time I was looking bad in BA which I worked the rest of the draft to keep out of the bottom in . I missed at least half a dozen targets and really regret not getting a decent "I" but it was definitly my best effort just curious to hear where some of you see where I F-up at.

I can't see that you did anything wrong. Great value drafting, coherent picks, no real wasted value. Going with a big punt was very high risk, but the fact you didn't get four 1's saved you. Wagner was the only unnecessary pick, but even then, he was good value when you got him ... plus he allowed you to nibble at the saves totals with poor letters. Even leaving your "I" wasn't a big problem for your strategy. The last decent "I" went a long time back, and you had the right strategy to positively absorb a duffer like Ishii or Irabu.

Being this was the first really short Draft and a few changes(using all the QUIZY plus Wild card letters, More players on team- What surprised you long timers in Value...

i think I may have done better (doubtful, but maybe) if I had realized the difference between Multiplicative and additive earlier in the draft. I mean, I know the difference, but for some reason I thought it was an additive draft and seeing the opposite took too long to sink in.

Currently my spreadsheet is choking over Johnny's Brian Downing pick. It might take me some time to sort things out, or maybe there's an updated spreadsheet with all the recent picks.

There's always an updated SS ... there are links in the first post of the draft thread.

OK, now I see... Johnny is "manipulating" the system, because he maintains the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet lists Downing's BY as 1987, but the draft thread says 1982. I wonder if Johnny made any other "mistakes" along the way

Oops ... sorry ... probably a copy paste error ... I'll update with 82. I was debating between the two years, and it ended up making no difference.
