  • Who Do You Now Consider to be "For Real"?

The fluke is gone.....who is now emerging as a "for real" talent?

Vance Worley comes to mind as a pitcher who is emerging as a solid above-average starter. I've owned him since he came up and I don't recall a bad week out of him. I'm not even sure if he was even that highly regarded a prospect.

Some others who come to mind:
    - Emilio Bonifacio
    - JD Martinez
    - Eric Thames

I like the three "others" you have named, but not Worley. But I am terrible on pitchers.

Bonifacio is the only one I would consider and that is because I'm going back into last year. We haven't seen enough from anyone this season to make a judgment call.

      This is when stats stabilize:

      50 PA: Swing %
      100 PA: Contact Rate
150 PA: Strikeout Rate, Line Drive Rate, Pitches/PA
200 PA: Walk Rate, Groundball Rate, GB/FB
      250 PA: Flyball Rate
300 PA: Home Run Rate, HR/FB
500 PA: OBP, SLG, OPS, 1BRate, Popup Rate
      550 PA: ISO

I am thinking Matt Kemp is making people forget about his bad season.

For real in the upper stratosphere of all players.

He is as locked in right now as anyone I can remember.

I didn't think his bad season was bad at all. His average was down, but doubles remained the same and home runs actually went up a little. That's why I thought 2011 would be a monster, and spent big money to get him. Turns out the big investment was really a bargain price.

at what point do fantasy players believe in Kyle Lohse? Has he finally moved past scrub status?

Sure, but where are those SBs?

Disagree on Thames, he's a mess in the field and his bat has been consistently mediocre. He's a platoon bat, at best.

Speaking of mediocre. He had a hot start before he regressed to the norm last year too.

                      I'll add

Reimold - His talent is just as real as his fragileness

                      and

                      Matt Harrison

After an awful spring, is 30 year old Jake Peavy back? Thrilled with what my $1 has gotten me so far.

And two of those outings were against strong offenses in Texas and Detroit. He does look very good, though, with Peavy, I just wonder when he'll break down.
I'm just here for the baseball.

This reminds me of someone's team name. They had Eric Byrnes and Jake Peavy so their team name was "It Byrnes when I Peavy"
