Nope, too young. I was 8 when London Calling came out, 11 when Combat Rock did.

STILL working on mine -- been busy today with other things.

I saw Jimmy Buffett at Great Woods (MA) in '98 and got totally hammered. Well, my roomie who had invited me on this excursion (we lived in NJ) rented a Winnebago and ya, there was no one who was sober enough to drive it back from the arena to the campground. So what idiot raises his hand and says, "Sure, I'll give it a shot!" This guy!

I'm a pretty stable drunk, so why not be a hero to other drunks? Heck, I was hoping to get laid, so I volunteered, and since no other drunk/stoner put up a fight, I took the job despite never having driven an RV, let alone a 30' one. I didn't realize the huge turn radius and almost clipped a few cars in the parking lot, but once I made it out, it was a smooth 10 mile drive. That was an adventure!

That's a great list, Erik. I didn't know you were a Gov't Mule fan. I've got a great copy of their show from a couple of years ago in Little Rock if you're interest.

Oh, and I forgot one of the most kick-ass shows I've ever seen...Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, who were touring with the Mule for a while. She was absolutely amazing.

I was looking forward to seeing her at SXSW (she's listed on the website as one of the announced artists) but apparently she cancelled.

The most disappointing shows I've been to are:

Joni Mitchell - she was touring with Dylan (94 or 95) and decided to sing all her classics in this annoying jazz style that she'd adopted in her most recent album. And she cut off one of her songs right in the middle. And her sound technicians managed to create an aggravating echo effect in the stadium.

Tori Amos (2003 or 2004) - I've seen her 3 times but the last time she was touring with Ben Folds and I actually fell asleep during her set. Strangely enough, I met someone a couple months ago who was at that same show who claimed she nearly fell asleep too.

Thievery Corporation (2001) - Their sound was terrible and rather than integrate the various singers continuously throughout their songs, they trotted each one out separately and it completely ruined it for me. My friend felt the same which led to some interesting discussions between he and his partner, who was out of town but had raved about them being the best live act he'd ever seen.

Added a bunch of jam bands I had seen but forgotten due to the fact I was drunk and stoned at most of them.

I really liked Ben Harper's early stuff, and we went to see him in the early 2000's ... sadly it wasn't a very good show. We put it down to a one off bad show. So we arranged to go see him again a few years later, and we were so bored we left early. Apart from some shows at jazz venues that run until the early AM (meaning we'd miss our train), this was the only show I've ever left early, and the only one I've walked out off because it sucked.

Hard to remember all of the shows, and I have a feeling that a lot of them are bands that no one (except maybe Bucky) has heard of, so I won't bother listing all of them, but here are some of the more mainstream ones:

                              Billy Joel
                              Hall and Oates
                              Paul Simon (2x)
                              The Alarm
                              The Fixx
                              Living Color
                              Primus
                              Oingo Boingo
                              James
                              The Church
                              Big Audio Dynamite
                              PIL
                              Guns n' Roses (3x)
                              Soundgarden
                              Metallica
                              INXS
                              Weezer (3x)
Green Day (15-20x, pre-1996 or so)
                              The Get Up Kids
                              The Decemberists
