2.07 The Jean Genie (Aladdin Sane, 1973)

One of the biggies, I'll gladly snatch it up here. More Mick Ronson for me.

3.02 Sweet Thing / Candidate / Sweet Thing (Reprise)

It seemed as though there was less potential controversy with this one than the other, so I'm happy to take it.

And here's the live version I like even better than the studio version.

As has been said before, Bowie fans don't like "David Live", but the guitar and sax work by Earl Slick and David Sanborn is absolutely stunning. The live version has so much soul, and Bowie uses his remarkable range to full advantage.

Didn't expect this to fall to me here, another of the biggies!

                3.04....Modern Love (1983)

1983 was a banner year for pop music, and I recall The Police owning the summer, while Bowie's Let's Dance ruled the fall.

If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.

Damn, I had hoped to snag "Modern Love" with this pick.

3.07 - "The Width of a Circle" (The Man Who Sold the World, 1970)

Probably my favorite discovery from my research for this draft. The song has a very prog feel to it while also rocking pretty hard.

                        3.08 TVC15 (Station to Station, 1976)

Some of his wildest lyrics, and a nice beat. So now you know what one of my favorite Bowie albums is.

Love the speeded-up version he played at Live Aid:

4.02 Sound and Vision (Low, 1977)

One of the best from his collaborations with Eno.

Dang, I almost picked "Oh You Pretty Things" with my last pick.

                              4.03 - "Queen Bitch" (Hunky Dory, 1971)

The whole song just oozes sass from the stuttering guitar riff to the snarky as hell chorus vocal delivery.

Had to listen to three highest-ranked songs because I'm fairly certain at this point that whichever two I don't pick will be gone before it gets back to me. Both videos worth checking out.
