So as we roll into the final 5-6 games of the season is anyone in contention? In a tight race?

I'm in contention in 3 of 5 of my leagues.

My Kiss your sister Revo league has me battling it out for 2nd/ I'm currently in 3rd 1.5 points behind but have been tied with him (go figure) at times this week.

In Let's play 2 Dynasty league (where I traded and acquired so many this season) I currently sit 5th, but have been as high as 3rd. I'm 3.5 back but just 2 days ago we were all tied. Rick and Glenn are up on me, I'm hoping my team has one more late run in it.

In Zola's JBL league I'm somehow miraculously in 1st. 5 points up as of this posting but the team behind me is pretty strong so I might get caught. here's hoping I survive!

My other 2 leagues are in rebuild and I should be able to do much better next year than the last (of 18) and second to last or last (of 20) I found myself in this season.

Oh and My Padres are fighting for the #5/6 WC so hopefully I can root for my guys in the postseason!

I'm fighting a Controller Jacobs owned/Feral Slasher drafted team for 3rd in PONY. It's been neck and neck for weeks, but I've opened up a couple of points lead the last couple of days.

3rd would be my highest finish there in over a decade of playing in the league

I'm in 4 leagues, leading 2, 4th with a chance at 3rd in 1, rebuilding 1.

Leading 12 Teams Out as of today, up 4.5 pts. Not fully locked up yet, but I'm thrilled to be in the spot I'm in. Made several big trades to win, including dealing Soto $25 (til 2025), Gorman, Baty, Lodolo, Eury Perez. Some regrets (Baty for Hader did nothing for me), but flags fly forever.

Leading Lockdown Dynasty by 7 pts. It's pretty locked up, but I'll say 90% locked up to avoid the jinx. Lead fluctuated from as much as 15-20 pts early on, shrunk to a tie for 1st by trade deadline and panicked dealing Ricky Tiedemann for Jon Berti and Bard. Lead crept back up to 5-7 pt range quickly and it's held so far.

My wife is super excited to split winnings with me. I think I might get streaming MLB for next year with my winnings (either mlb.com package or a hacked Amazon fire stick). I haven't watched baseball regularly for years now, so I'm pretty stoked for that.

I'm in the finals of the only league I am in this year. I've been way up the whole way. There is no way I can lose at this point. I know some like the excitement of a close race, but I much prefer to coast the whole way. Much less stressful.

I’m with you on that. In our AL 5x5 league I was nearly wire to wire last year; two days before the season ended I fell into 3rd. Ended up taking 3rd, missing second guess a half point and first by another half point. Brutal.

This year in our NL I’m waaaaaay out front. About to set a record for most points Eve (20+ year league). I like that much better!

The only league I am in has been a tight race the whole year. Had a good day today and feeling optimistic about a happy ending.

In one league, I have a chance to be the 1st to win back-to-back titles in my 19 years in the league. I'm in 2nd, entering the day 4 pts behind. There are enough categories I could pick up enough pts in so that it's realistic that I could pass him. But not likely. Today is not helping, as I'm 2-32 on the day.

I have a chance at the money in 1 of my other leagues (3 pts away), but a horrible offense has plagued me all year. Again, not likely.

No chance at the money in my other league, as a horrible offense is my downfall there, too.

Still, w my likely 2nd place finish in the 1st league, it will be a profitable year.

The good the bad and the ugly.

Winning a 10 team AL only redraft - dominating team, probably my best ever - Judge, Semien, JRod, Witt, Nathan Lowe, Manoah, Alvarez

Winning 15 team mixed keeper - currently a 3 or 4 point lead - I've been going back and forth with another owner who is always very competitive. I went all in, he did not. It will come down to the last day.

Winning a NFBC team I split with Paul - pretty much all Pauly's doing.

Middle ground

5th place in Revo's waiver wire league- we were winning a couple months back but terrible end to the season. No real shot.

8th/18 in lets play two - offense is great, pitching is terrible. Should have improved our pitching.

Rebuilding

Lockdown, last place, bad team, needs a lot of work
Fantrax new startup dynasty, 13th of 16 - I went young, but still underperformed. Tucker, Witt, Cease are some fun players to build around.

14 team H2H: missed the playoffs after winning the title last year. Won the consolation finals to get the first forever keeper pick in round 19 next year.

12 team H2H AFA: Won the league, lost the first round, won the second for 3rd place.

10-team H2H F&F fun league: Made the semis and lost, on track to win the 3rd place game

It looks like I will win the league again. I went into the final day trailing by one and now lead by two.

Lance Lynn and Zack Wheeler anchored a stellar day on the mound--2 W, 2 Sv, 15 K, 0.64 ERA, 0.93 WHIP. Stats like that will win a lot of things.

There is an extra inning game with no relevant players. I own the only hitter in the late game. It can only get better for me.
