I was thinking about last year when I wrote that but it was written very poorly --- your point is a better one either way, he's not going to be in a good lineup.

Just off the baseline projections, Margot comes in around $8 and Madrigal is about $7. Margot is clearly the player if you want reliable stats. Is that the question?

Margot is no lock to return value = price. Madrigal is in line for substantially increased PT. If his stats also improve, he has the potential of returning a profit. Margot not so much.

So, is this a value pick or a spec pick?

I totally agree with the better floor concept. Margot is the safe pick.

The OBA strength is really BA strength, since Madrigal doesn't walk much.

It's close enough that it comes down to what you want from the roster slot. I'm with Revo. Take the 2B and the one outstanding stat unless you really need reliable stats or have have good use for the $4.
