The 3.3 HR/9 with the Yanks was the only peripheral I care about! LOL. Maybe the Dodgers know what to tweak.

Love the Heaney sign by Dodgers if they can fix him.

I wrote him up as a guy I thought could pull a Robbie Ray in 2022 2 weeks ago: https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/article.php?id=59844

Eno did something similar today along with some others: https://t.co/CnB2HxHe76?amp=1

Heaney could never stay healthy enough to be Robbie Ray. He is straight up brittle.

Giants sign manager Gabe Kapler to a two-year contract extension through the 2024 season.

Might have some additional value as a mentor of sorts for Skubal.

He's got an opt out after 2 years, which is pretty smart. He'll only be 30 (or 31) at that point and can sign another long term deal with a more stable labor situation.

Getting out of the East and getting to face Cleveland and KC a bunch doesn't hurt either...

As a Tiger fan have mix feelings on the signing but he'll play in a pitcher park and more favorable matchups. I usually have not like Avila signings. Still need a SS.
