Tonite, Emma Raducanu of the UK became the 1st qualifier to make the finals of a grand slam event (men or women) in the "open" era. She is 18 y/o and will play Leylah Fernandez of Canada, who is 19 y/o. This is also the 1st time 2 teenagers have faced each other in a grand slam final since Serena Williams and Martina Hingis in the US Open in 1999. I will be excited to watch this match.

Raducanu won the championship in straight sets, becoming the 1st ever qualifier to win a major tennis title. She seems so poised both on and off the court. Pretty impressive for an 18 y/o. Really great smile and personable. Congrats, Emma! -
