Our league is seeking two new owners for a long-standing league that has lost two long-time owners this off-season... both for personal reasons.
It is a 12-team, AL-only, keeper league. Standard 23-team roster with a $260 salary cap, a reserve list and farm team. League is hosted on cbssports.com... annual cost is $150.
The new owners will conduct a draft from the players on the abandoned rosters... good talent available, especially in terms of prospects (Wander Franco, Adley Rutschman).
We often try to get together for the annual auction, though we haven't been able to do so for the last few years.
Typically, we have our auction two weekends after Opening Day. In most years, several of us travel to an AL city, stay at the same hotel, take in a ballgame, conduct our auction at the hotel on Sunday, then disperse. One year we actually conducted our auction in Andrew Friedman's conference room at Tropicana Field in Tampa.
Wonderful and diverse group of owners from across the US: MN, NH, OK, TX, WA. Owners who cannot attend the auction participate on the CBS site. In recent years we have had auctions in Dallas, Kansas City and Tampa. Then, our get together in Minneapolis was canceled due to snow!!
