part of the job of a head coach is to develop a backup qb to be a starting one someday. cam newton is not a good qb anymore. and I think Belichick is guilty of being selfish and stubborn when NE should be seeing jarrett stidham more. josh daniel should've taken the job in IND. calling plays for newton and brady is like night and day. and mobile qb and a pocket passer. it's not going to end well for the pats. Brady saved the pats a lot of money by having not to spend money on WR's which saved belichick and kraft headaches since the wr position has the most divas. now their offense is like the movie the Waterboy. they kick a FG on 3-1 near the end of the half with like 12 secs left and no timeouts afraid newton will be sacked like hoyer.

A few interesting tidbits I heard today:
- Dalvin Cook's 4 TDs was the most by a Viking in one game since Ahmad Rashad did it in Week 1 of the 1979 season
- Dalvin Cook also had the best fantasy game by a player who had missed the previous week to injury since Paul Hornung's game in Week 13 of the 1965 season
- Russell Wilson has the 2nd most passing TDs through 7 games, with 26 (Tom Brady had 27 in 2007)

George Kittle is done for the season with a broken bone in his foot, while Jimmy G is sidelined indefinitely.

Packers AJ Dillon was put on COVID-19 reserve; Jamaal Williams may be considered a close contact person and ruled out for Thursday and Aaron Jones may not yet be ready. So the Packers may have zero, one or two of their top 3 RBs for Thursday.

Packers coaching staff will be earning their paychecks this week.
