NFC East is the first @NFL
division in which every team has a losing record through Week 5 since....

    2013 NFC East

You have to go back to 1968 to find another such case.

    ...............

(that would be the Century Division, featuring "archrivals" Browns, Saints, Cardinals, Steelers. wtf. Browns rallied to 10-4 and Cardinals to 9-4-1, with Saints going 4-9-1 and Steelers 2-11-1. a year later, the Giants got bounced into the Century, while the Saints moved to the Capital - which was the forerunner to the NFC East with Dallas, Washington, and Philadelphia. in 1970, the modern divisions were born after the merger with the AFL.)

If they were smart, they would shut down the NFL for 2 weeks, quarantine everybody and push the whole season back two weeks. You might have some non-traditional Thanksgiving matchups, but at least you'll get to play them. If we knew more about how this thing is spread, we could protect players and staff better, but - ooh.
"Igor, would you give me a hand with the bags?"
"Certainly. You take the blonde and I'll take the one in the turban!"

Do you think the players and coaches are all willing to quarantine though? You need 100% commitment for that to really work. And you'd really need it for the rest of the year to sustain. I agree that it's the right approach but I don't see either side giving in and doing it. Hope I'm wrong.

see Post 19 to take into account how shocked I am that the Chargers blew a 20-3 lead and lost to the Saints, 30-27 in OT

I’d sooner trust Hillary Clinton with a lead than Anthony Lynn

          Chargers:
          17-6 lead vs. Mahomes
          24-7 lead vs. Brady
          20-3 lead vs. Brees
          All losses

          ...............

and before you say, "well, 3 Hall of Famers, so..." - those dudes don't have that many double-digit point comebacks in their careers.

partly because they rarely trail by that much, but moreso that a team that can gain an advantage like this doesn't tend to piss it away

Now this is a stiff arm:
