When the Steelers went up 6-0, a bettor at @pointsbetusa
bet $3,500 — somehow — on the Ravens to have the lead by the end of the first quarter.

They cashed in on a botched punt and lead 7-6 after the first.

Bettor netted $14,000.

3 minutes to go, and I could taste hitting 3 parlays......then some guy named McSorely connects with Hollywood Brown on a 70-yard TD, and pfffftttt. I lose the Brown under, I lose the Steelers cover -- even the alternate line of 5.5 -- and that's that.

I'm feeling pretty McSorely, if you ask me!

- Jaguars +5.5 vs Browns. Jags lead 19-17 in second half, but then go down 27-19. got a TD with under 4 minutes left, then missed the tying 2-point conversion (which I applauded). WIN

- Rams -7 vs 49ers. Rams commit 3 turnovers in first half, yet trail by only 4. late rally to tie it and nearly OT, but woulda been too late for me anyway. LOSS

- Cardinals -2.5 vs Patriots. Cam Newton 9 for 18 for 88 yards in the game - but a bullshit personal foul call (confirmed on the broadcast by the rules expert) hands the Pats a 51-yard FG try at the buzzer and it's good so 20-17 final. brutal, brutal beat. LOSS

Bills -5.5 vs Chargers. Didn't see the end, but apparently the lame duck idiot LAC coach shit the bed in the last minute to allow me to escape in a 27-17 win. WIN

- Chiefs -3 vs Buccaneers. KC goes thru TB like Sherman thru GA, and it's a 27-10 laugher until the Bucs get two late TDs for the push. BRUTAL, BRUTAL TIE

- Ravens 10.5 vs Steelers. After the first quarter, PIT had zero chance of covering. but repeated ineptitude in the red zone had it 19-7 with about 5 minutes left. a 3rd and 5 magic dart by Big Ben to a wide open WR clinches it - wait, somehow it's dropped and BAL gets it deep in its own end. and someone named McSorley tosses the mentioned late TD for a brutal, brutal PUSH because I basically got a refund early with a "cash out" option. still, woulda been a WIN

On Action Network this morning, I had read that #21 Marshall was a 22.5 fave but yet the o/u was just 44.5 and was -5000. So when I saw Rice jump out to a 7-0 lead in the 1st qtr, looked like a great opportunity to get a spread cut quickly, so I jumped on Marshall -6.5.

Cut to the 4th qtr and it's 20-0 RICE. LOLOLOL. -5000!!!

literally, 2 bucks to try to net 32.

my instincts, as always, told me to hedge the hell out of this before the final round today. as I have noted before, the professional gamblers I know have explained how silly that is when I have true no financial risk at all.

so I stuck it out. a little shaky late today, but Viktor (who lives in Stillwater, OK) banged in a birdie putt on the last hole to win me all the Tostitos!
