Thanks for posting this. I just signed up at Betmgm a few days ago to get a 1 year extension at the Athletic and will be trying this for the first time. I can see why it's addicting...like I need another bad habit

books make maybe 5 pct margin off sports bets, but double-digits in online casino and often 20 pct+ from parlays. tread lightly, if at all.

and keep an eye on promotions off straight bets. BetMGM seems stingy with those, but occasionally they'll throw you an easy $25 or so just to keep you from getting discouraged.

Oh, I get that parlays have an incredibly high failure rates. I’m only playing 3 leg parlays with one “risky” play and two far less risky plays. These pitchers bat .100 for their career. So if they get two ABs per game, that’s an 81% chance. Two pitchers with an 81% success rate combine for 65%. And if I take a batter who historically crushes the pitcher, that should be a 50%-60% play, so the total bet odds should be close to 40%.

I took another one late, because I just don’t know what MGM is doing. I took Berrios u0.5 and Musgrove u0.5 with Trout o0.5 total bases, which had odds of -160. Yet Jake Fraley o0.5 bases was -175. WTF?

instead of Gonzaga giving 4.5 points to Baylor, they GET 4.5 points.

unlike many of these promotions, this one is not a lock. but 9 free points and no vig is pretty alluring.

tossed 15 Tostitos on it. might not win, but keep betting on promotions like that and you'll win money overall on them.
