Rice missing from speakers at the convention, she's likely the pick.

If you see the first reply to that post, it leads me to believe it could be Harris, actually. Harris is scheduled to speak right before Biden and his family. That is usually the VP pick's spot. I do like Rice and thought she was the pick. Now I don't know. Maybe her lack of experience as an elected official moved Harris ahead of her.

Harris and Klobuchar were both booted from the presidential race (partly) due to some of the overzealous things they did as prosecutors. I think both would be a tough sell. Rice is the safest and most prudent pick.

I agree, although I am sure some Repubs for whom anyone remotely associated with the word Benghazi is automatically disqualified. But yeah, she has a pretty impeccable record fighting for the impoverished and the marginalized on the international stage.

I'd suspect that anyone who disqualifies Rice for Benghazi was never in a million years going to vote for Biden anyway.

If you think he can survive, literally, his first term, the VP pick doesn't matter all that much.

He's said he only wants one term... whoever he picks has a leg-up for the 2024 nomination. Just handing the presidency to the GOP 4 years from now would not be viewed well.

Wouldn't have been my choice, but I don't see how picking Harris is effing it up. She's smart and ready to fight.
