The Wonders - That Thing You Do! from the movie of same name. I think they got up to number 7 and were never heard from again.

If DMT seeds them, then I’ll do the HTH matchups

I guess we should remove Devo, Evanescence and Nick Lowe from the competition.

          Deal!
If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.

            c'mon keep DEVO

and we all forgot this gem

this might be the definition of one hot wonder - you need to add it - Anyone old enough will remember how huge the song was!

Sorry, the Bay City Rollers are not a one hit wonder. They actually had four US Top 20 songs, including the remake of "I Only Want to be With You." Certainly a one year wonder in the US, but not a one hit wonder.

They also don't meet the definition in that they were a wildly successful international artist. They had TEN Top 10 songs in the UK -- although interestingly enough, "Saturday Night," their biggest US hit, somehow did not chart there at all.

We did forget those dudes who made the "Macarena," though.

                      And this one:

So are we supposed to vote on our top 17 (of 2 vote songs) of these 36 and post them here?

I can make a second form, or we can all vote for say 5 of the 2-vote songs right here and it should narrow it down to 17.

Whichever is easier for you. Have we made a ruling on the bands like Devo that really weren't one-hit wonders?
If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.

Making a 2nd form would probably be easier.
