I suppose you could just sear the outside if it is fresh enough

Yeah I do that with Ahi, but haven't tried it w/salmon which seems like a much more delicate fish.

        I disagree

Ha ha. Salmon will hold up just fine and I have had my share of lightly cooked salmon. I'd be more concerned with the digestion process, lol. Some of my family members do better with a little more cookin. That's all I got to say about that

I do this regularly - cast iron pan, medium hot with a small amt of oil (too hot burns the fish really fast), about 3 mins on the flesh side, then flip onto the skin side for another 4-5 mins (at this point I'll lower the temp & just let the residual heat work). Sometimes naked, sometimes marinated in a little soy-ginger-garlic-green onions. Or you can just brush that on (it does burn faster when marinated).
It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

I am right with you on this except I would add smoked to that list.

Plus the burning doesn't sound great.

A strategically placed oven mitt might help.

                    • I am sitting at the kitchen table working and my wife says would you like a grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich? Heck yeah!

I often make a peanut butter and banana sandwich on toast. Grilled is a whole different thing. I don't think we have had grilled in over a year (not sure why).

So so good! Thank you Honey!!

this is nothing I've ever heard of. Not a banana fan, but still never heard of such a thing.

It is made like a grilled cheese sandwich except peanut butter is used in place of the cheese and you put sliced banana in the middle before frying.

Sounds interesting. You could even fry the banana before you put it in the sandwich. Fried bananas are underrated

I have a type of grilled cheese I like too. Instead of the bread I use a bun, and in addition to the cheese I add hamburger. Some people call it a cheeseburger.
