  • Too Much Dynasty Goodness

So here's my conundrum. Our 7 Year Itch Semi Dynasty League (we totally redraft every 7 years) Held it's draft last season. I went for long term sustainability finishing good, but setting myself up for great this season and beyond. We can only keep 10 from our roster, but we can keep them as long as we want until the next redraft in 7(6now) years. No salaries.

12 team H2H with daily transactions. Solid ownership. Custom 9x9 league. Standard 23 active/5 man bench 1 CA/2 UT

Hitting: Singles, Doubles, triples HRs, Runs, RBI, Net SBs (+2/-1) OBP, Slg.

    Pitching: IP, QS, K, Win %, Sv+Hlds, ERA, WHIP, K/9, K/BB

I have the following to choose from:

Whom I am leaning toward keeping...….

    Pete Alonzo
    Keston Hiura
    Trea Turner
    Vlad Gurrero Jr
    Juan Soto
    Yordan Alvarez
    Yoan Moncada
    Christian Yelich
    Shohei Ohtani
    Al Mondesi

    Who I also have:

    Jo Adell
    Mackenzie Gore
    Casey Mize

No Minor League squad so must be kept in the 10.

    Miguel Sano
    Bo Bichette
    Jesus Luzardo

I also have 2 1st round picks mid and late. I don't THINK I can deal any of these extra guys for more picks and I SHOULD be able to get one or more back in the 1st round.

Pitching is always the easiest part of the equation in this league as there's a ton that comes out of nowhere and Holds/saves are equal.

    So any changes you'd make?

    Trades to explore?

    TIA

Over the next six years, I think Adell will be worth too much to drop. You can choose between Ohtani, Mondesi, or Moncada.

Tradewise, Yordan Alvarez may never get higher.

        Wow what a team!

I agree that Adell needs to be kept. I think Ohtani is the one I would sacrifice from that list.

Both Adell and Bichette need a home on a keeper list.

                  That's the hard question.
I'd be looking to trade 2 of my stars for a slightly better star .... twice.

So which 2 for Acuna? Which other 2 for Trout?

Would any real VDers go along with that ? Sounds just wrong.

yep, possibly hard to do. But a nice problem to have.

Either the oldest guys or the ones who haven't yet produced in the majors ? Whichever ones the other team will accept ? Just see what you can do and not have to cut anyone that has significant value I guess

Given your pitching categories, you could use a premium SP. I agree with others that Yordan has really great trade value; if you package him with Adell, it'd be interesting to see what kind of deal you could get.
