  • Max Muncy extension in 9-team NL-only

Last year, Max hit 35 HRs, 101 Runs, 98 RBIs, and .251 AVE in 487 ABs,

9-team NL-only keeper league; $260 budget. Categories are Runs, RBIs, SB, HRs, AVE.

Should I extend my $10 Max Muncy?

Details: Max is in his last year at $10 (3 of 3 years) but I can extend him 4 years to $15 (for 2020), $20 (for 2021), $25, and $30. The cost to drop a contract is insignificant (it cost only $5 real money and doesn't affect our fantasy budget). Also, I'll be playing him at 1st/CI and not 2nd if that really matters much.

he's 29 years old, and if they suddenly change the ball, he might turn back into Max Muncy.

if these are your only two options, take the profit at $10 and move on. really helps in 3 categories, really doesn't in the other 2.

No extension. 9 team league is relatively shallow, so I'd only be extending stars.

I agree with both Judge and Ken here. Play him out.
