And the Nationals are in the 4th day of their 6 day layoff.

Only 1 (1995 Braves) of the past 8 clubs to sweep the League Championship Series has won the World Series.

anyone have a Clue as to why that is amusing?

Green now clearly established as a suspect - but maybe Peacock, too?

I guess J.A. Happ vs Wade Miley was not a preferred option. Especially since Miley was excluded from the Astros' ALCS roster.

I prefer that my bullpen games be played during the month of March.

One thing that most managers don't consider in a bullpen game.......extra innings.

This is the first decade since the 1910s that the Yankees have not appeared in a World Series.

World Series pitching matchups don't get much better than Gerrit Cole vs Max Scherzer in game 1 on Tuesday.

is this the best Big 3 vs Big 3 ever?

maybe only by the best 3rds, but still

The 1999 Yankees-Braves WS had Clemens/Pettite/Cone vs Maddux/Glavine/Smoltz. That's a total of 1677 career regular season wins or an average of 279.5 per pitcher.

Peacock became just the fourth pitcher in MLB history to finish one postseason game and start the next on zero days' rest and the first since Firpo Marberry for the Washington Senators in the 1924 World Series.
