Prospect Isan Diaz 2B (Marlins) - It's time to pick him up

Marlins 2B prospect Isan Diaz went 3-for-5 with a double and homer on Sunday for Triple-A New Orleans.
The homer is already the 21st of the season for Diaz, while the double gives the 23-year-old 18 on the season. Diaz continues his strong campaign, and he's now slashing .296/.390/.569 with the Baby Cakes with 42 walks and a 4-for-7 stolen base rate. There have been trade rumors involving Starlin Castro, and if/when that takes place, Diaz should see a promotion. If you need help in the middle infield, there aren't man better to stash right now.

Now hitting .305 with 24 homers in 92 games with an OPS of .980 and a 24% K rate.

If you need help in your infield he makes for a good pick up now because they are probably going to trade Starlin Castro.

Diaz is definitely a nice stash in NL, but.....Castro has been on the trading block for nearly two years now and they still havent found a taker. This year his numbers are below replacement value - a significant dip from 2018. I just dont think there is or will be any interest in him around the league.

If the Marlins dont find a taker for Castro, they will DFA him in the next few weeks.
