By "available" I meant "available for trade." But still, I'd pick up India over Singer.

I think the points many of us here are trying to make are:
    1 - it doesn't make sense to "rebuild" when "rebuilding" will mean upgrading maybe just one ML spot;
    2 - It doesn't make sense to look for additional keepers when you already are full there, and especially not anyone who cannot crack your Top 6;
3 - you have a roster filled with Waiver Wire chaff that should be replaced

I dropped Herrera for Pujols and Devenski for Camargo. Is it worth the 3rd waiver spot to claim Pinder or Tellez?

I turned down Puk for Keller, but he re-offered my original swap of Sheffield for Keller. I'm guessing I should turn it down?

The defending champ asked if I was interested in Andujar $8 for Harper. That's a no too right?

The Andujar who is likely undergoing shoulder surgery next week?

If you’re going to trade Harper, you NEED a cheaper 2nd-5th Rd caliber player back. That’s it!!! Who would you rather have next year, Harper or an Andujar who may miss time and who knows how he’ll perform?

I've asked for Vlad $1 or Acuna $8 in any trade for Harper, but that's a no go as he's wanting to repeat. He's picked up 40 points in 3 weeks, while I'm still lagging in the bottom 4.

It sounds like your league is used to getting the best of you in deals, so is continuing to start trade negotiations at a place that is unbalanced against you. I absolutely love trading, and I hate to say, shut it down, but it seems like you need to draw a line in the sand and wait. You already see the advantage of that, as the owner who turned down Sheffield is now agreeing to take him. Don't let the league gaslight you into thinking these offers are good for you. They are not.

Actually, it may be best to do the reverse--don't wait, get more proactive. Instead of fielding offers, make them. Make good offers for you and others. Identify specific targets you like and think represent better value for you. I do this by analyzing each opponent's roster and needs and trying to find places where I have something that helps them, and they have something that helps me. I also know my opponents well. I know who the Red Sox fan is, or who will grossly overpay for a top prospect, or who will likely panic by a slow start for a player and sell low etc. It allows me to make deals others want to do, but which also clearly favor me. Those are the deals that make sense. Not the ones that help others and don't really do anything for you, now or in the future.

Also, decide what you are doing. I agree with others that it is too early to dump with your roster. However, if you are hell bent on doing that, go all in to get the very best player you can. As others have said, you have good keepers already. It only makes sense to dump if you can greatly upgrade one of those keepers. Rather than trading away valuable assets for a guy that represent MAYBE a marginal keeper upgrade for you, go all in to get an Acuna or Vlad. The owner is saying no to Harper, which I get, but if you a really dumping and he is really contending, make him an offer he can't refuse. Throw in as many non-keeper pieces of yours as he needs to say yes. It works. No good owner who wants to win is going to turn down a deal that massively helps them this year.

How do I make the first offer when I know my player evaluation isn't great? Or evaluating what my team needs?

I've promoted Rodgers and Riley, plus added Pinder from FA.

I've got two offers from the same team:

                Heaney $1 for Nola
McCutchen $20 and Gioloto $10 for Harper

                And from a different owner:

Hampson $10 and Honeywell $2 for Lowe and Kikuchi
                Nicky Lopez $10 for Kikuchi

Plus the team in first wants me to make the first offer. He could use help in AVG, BB-KO, and HD.

Thoughts on either offer? Or what I could offer the first place team?

I think that you'd be the loser in both deals...Harper is Harper, and he'll get better. Is he going to hit .300 again? Who knows, but he's a hell of a trade chip if nothing else. And that deal gives you two middling players for him...pass. Same for Heaney for Nola...

Hampson is already down on the farm and Honeywell is still recovering...pass as well.

I MIGHT consider Lopez for Kiguchi, but I'd need a pretty good sweetener.

If youre dumping, perhaps you should try the following exercise:

Look at each teams roster and mark the keepers you want from them. Then prioritize as one list and go to the owner with the most desirable keeper to you and ask him what he wants for said player. Then go down the list.

You have a very good to great group of keepers and for the life of me I have no idea why youre dumping with Harper, Trout and Benentendi on your team but if you feel strongly about it, the guys you get need to be better than the guys below.

                    C - Realmuto $24 1st year keeper
                    2B - Brandon Lowe $9
                    MI - Merrifield $16 2nd year keeper
                    OF - Benintendi $16 2nd year keeper
                    SP - Nola $11 3rd year keeper
                    SP - Odorizzi $1
                    SP - Paddack $10
                    P - Alvarado $14
                    P - Hicks $11

Remember, you only get to dump once and you shouldnt be in a rush. Those contending should be in a rush as the longer the wait, the longer they dont get the stats from guys who will help them. You should be getting a ton of interest from owners for Trout and Harper. Pit them against each other. Play it up. Dont settle.

So the team in first is definitely interested in Harper, but he wants me to make the first offer.

                      My updated roster:

                      C - Realmuto $24 1st year keeper

                      MN - Jesus Sanchez $1

Am I crazy for asking for Bellinger, Smith, and Soroka for Harper? I know Bellinger will replace Harper as one of my 6 keepers, plus Smith and Sorkoka upgrade my pitching for this year at least.

                      Thoughts from the RJ crowd?

I think he is very unlikely to make that deal. It appears Bellinger is much more valuable than Harper by himself unless I am missing something

First of all if he doesnt want to make an offer, i would tell him that i am good.

Second, on what planet would anyone move bellinger alone for bryce, let alone two other valuable keepers?
If that was me i would tell you to add in trout as well. I mean your offer is flat out terrible.
After former Broncos quarterback Brian Griese sprained his ankle and said he was tripped on the stairs of his home by his golden retriever, Bella: “The dog stood up on his hind legs and gave him a push? You might want to get rid of that dog, or put him in the circus, one of the two.”

Completely agree here. I wouldn't even consider that as a serious offer.

Since he wants me to make the first offer, what would be a good offer?
