  • HS FB coaches posting Bible verses on twitter

I have a friend that is a HS FB coach. He posts Bible verses or retweets Bible verses from other HS FB coaches. They make no effort to hide the fact they are coaches.

My question is this: Should they be doing this? Seems like a blatant disregard for the separation of church and state (in this case school). If they want to do so on a separate account where they don't play up the fact that they are HS FB coaches, I have no problem with it.

    Thoughts?

The HOT button topics seem to be venturing back into the sports bar.

Probably set the sports bar dog barking if they did it in the middle of the night.

If it were wrong, God would smite them.

Ok, actually, are these their accounts associated with the school, or personal accounts ? or is it a personal account that references their position as a coach that makes it a gray area ?

Clear violation of the social contract.

I thought you created the hot button topics forum.

Eh, if it's the school's or the team's twitter account then foul... if it's their own where they talk about god and being a HS football coach, then that's just them talking about all the facets of their lives: okay.

If it’s their personal account then this is silly. They can be a coach and be religious too. Suggesting otherwise is ridiculous.

it depends if the bible verses he posted were good or interesting. like you can't judge a book by it's cover or it's about the product if your selling something. like hope or faith, it' ok. but not if it's like John Voight in Varsity Blues to give a cortisone shot.

on the type of straight talk

                            it depends
